Activating buttons on Twitter?

Do I have to do something special to activate the buttons on Twitter—IE following someone? I hit enter/space/left click them and Jaws will say I'm folllowing person X but when I go to a different link and check my stats page I am not following them anymore. Posting an update is no go, too. It tells me how many chars I have left but it never publishes it.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Could it just be due to the database crashing last week?

Thanks for any input.

Yes. I have. Logging out and back in again seems to help. If that don't fix it, delete your cookies and restart. (Before doing that, make sure you know all your passwords for things!)

Hey:

Your idea didn't work; thanks for trying, though.

I found that when I try to follow a new person on twitter, I have to refresh or log out and back in several times before the new person I'm following is shown on my followers list.

Maybe it just takes a little bit to update your page? I know then when I update with skype, it takes it a few seconds to change it before the message will pop up saying that I've been updated successfuly.

Due to I think, the database crash things were running slow. Now that a lot of the services are coming back online things seem to be working fine after a few refreshes,.

Thanks all for your suggestions—they've all helped.

Yep Cort, had the same problem as well, and refreshing does the trick here too. Me thinks twitter is just a bit slow sometimes.

cheers,
